Temecula Valley Custom Pools, Inc. owner Dave Thompson fell in love with designing and building pools back in 1965 when he took his first job at a pool building company established by his best friend’s father.  During his time there, he discovered that he had a talent for visualizing the completed pool project to meet the character of the yard and the homeowner’s desires.

In 1987, Dave moved to Temecula and continued building pools for a former employer.  He wanted his own business, so he started Temecula Valley Custom Pools, Inc.  Through his leadership and eye for “what could be”,  Dave has helped design and build some of the most stunning custom pools, a.k.a. “backyard vacations”, in Temecula Valley.  Several of his designs have been featured in magazines.

Outside of his work,  Dave has created a stake in the community with his service in the Rotary Club of Temecula (including past President), as an active member of the Temecula and Murrieta Chambers of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club (former member of Board of Directors), Komen Race for the Cure, Michelle’s Place, S.A.F.E. (Safe Alternatives for Everyone) and Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival, among others.  He also proudly served our military in the United States Army.  Active participation and serving the local communities are an integral part of Dave’s commitment to this area
